I haven't yet used this text or the Teacher's Edition I also ordered. I purchased last year's Course 1 for my son, which we used last year a great deal. He is always leaving his books at school. I wish the SS text was as affordable... However, my son hasn't used the extra copy, but maybe once, as he's had his book with him. I also bought the TE, so I could better understand the geometry problems, as that wasn't a strength of mine, though I do remember quite a bit of it. But, my son isn't one to let us assist him, when he's stuck, so these books have been sitting around so far. Once the year is over, I'll donate them to his math teacher, who is always appreciative of having extra books, since students often lose them... my rating is based on last year's copy from the same publisher. I think they're great!
